Official Opening of the Dean Aldridge Diamond

7th December 2013

Saturday saw perfect weather and a great day for baseball.

It was also the official opening of the Dean Aldridge Diamond at Magdala Park.

Junior Club President Steve Jones, told the assembled teams that the diamond was named after a player that started with North ryde as an U8 player.

Through hard work and commitment to baseball, last year Dean was signed by the Detroit tigers Franchise in America.

Dean took the time to speak with the young players today as well as signing autographs.

North Ryde Junior baseball is proud to have Dean as one of their past players.

North Ryde RSL Junior Baseball Club is Club Champion for 2013-2014.

As the heading says North Ryde RSL Junior Baseball Club is the Ryde Hawks Baseball League Club Champion for 2013-2014 !

The RHBL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP – is awarded to the club who has the most success in the competition run by the RHBL. This award is named in honour of Life Member of RHBL, Reg Renouf.

Congratulations to North Ryde with 5 Grand Final winning teams from 11 teams fielded. The high placement of our other teams in the competition all contributed to the high ranking against the other 11 clubs in the league.

This is a fitting tribute to our long serving Club President, Steve Jones, who stepped down at the end of this season. Thanks Steve, your hard work and energy will be missed!

Well done everyone, and I am sure we will do equally well in the 2014-2015 season.
